Fossil of the Largest Dinosaur Found


Just imagine a creature which is as tall as a seven storied building and 40 Meter Long. BBC News has reported that Paleontologists in Argentina has discovered Fossils of a largest dinosaur ever that could shed light on pre historic life.

According to the reports the plant eating Dinosaur weighed the equivalent of more than 14 African Elephants , total weight of 77 tonnes and stretched up to 40 meters ( 130 feet) in length.
Standing with its neck up, it was about 20 meter high – equal to a seven storied building .The researches say that this creature is to be a new species of Titanosaur, a long necked, long tailed that walked on four legs and lived some 90 million years ago in the Cretaceous period.
So far the Argentinosaurus , was considered to be the biggest species , But this new species Titanosaur weighs seven Tonnes heavier than the previous record holder Argentitnosaurus.

The Fossils of the huge Dinosaur was accidently discovered by a local farm worker in the desert near La Flecha, about 250 Km West of Trelew , Patagonia. Bones of seven more individual Dinosaurs were found from the site.
