Thrissur: The private buses are on strike today in Thrissur district.Private Bus owner’s and employee’s co ordination committee had called for the strike in protest against the pathetic condition of the Palakkad National Highway.They are also holding a meeting today to review the present condition of the roads.
The co ordination committee which held a meeting last week had reviewed that the repairs doing now on the roads are not adequate. Taxi -Auto operators of old Ollukkara, Panancherry, Nadathara, and Madakkathara Panchayaths are also joining the strike in support.The strike called in protest about the bad condition of National High way by buses plying in Thrissur -Palakkad route are still continuing.
