Ban For Prithviraj in Malayalam Cinema

Following a movie-date related clash with the producer of the Shaji Kailas’ movie ‘Raghupati Raghava Rajaram’, malayalam actor Prithviraj has been banned from malayalam cinema for an unknown period. The ban has been put from the producers’ association. The producer has claimed that he has spent Rs.75 lakh on this project, and has demanded the completion of the movie as fast as possible. As Prithviraj is now busy in Bolywood movies, the ban is unlikely to hit Prithviraj in a negative way, as a number of Bollywood projects are already lined up his way.

The shoot of ‘Raghupathi Raghava Rajaram’ began two years ago but was stopped after 17 days of shooting because the script was found to be not up to the mark. The project was abandoned halfway but Muraleedharan in his complaint is believed to have pointed out that he had already pumped a lot of money into the project.

When contacted, Shaji Kailas had this to say, “I am not even aware of this so called ban. As far as I know, this project is scheduled to take off in January. The script has been reworked and is ready and I will be meeting Prithviraj in a few days in Delhi to discuss the script. “He is currently busy with his promotions and our commitment to the film stays! Prithviraj will be doing the film.”
