Ashiq Abu is all set to direct a new film titled Rani Padmini. Rima Kalligal and Manju Warrier will Play the Main Lead In the Film. Rima will play Rani and Padmini Will be played by Manju.
The film deals with the journey of two unknown women. They are traveling to Himachal Pradesh from Kochi through Delhi. Even though Both of them travel to the same place , the intention and the purpose of the journey is entirely different. Ashiq says that Rani Padmini would be a feelgood travel movie. The film does not have any hero and it deals with the life of two women their life and experience. He also says that we have multi starrer films with male protagonists, but we do not have much multi starrer films with female protagonists. And the film Rani Padmini is an experiment in this genre.
This film directed by Ashiq Abu after film Ganster would be the third film of Manju Warrier After made a comeback to films. The main shoot location of the film would be Kochi , Delhi and Himachal Pradesh.
