The opening ceremony of the celebrated Kala Ghodqa Arts Festival saw Mr. Abhishek Bachhan graciously lighting the diya as he paid tribute to the city's most loved week, the week of Kala Ghoda! Mr. Amitabh Bachhan was scheduled to attend the event but unfortunately he hurt himself while working out the very same morning and therefore, Abhishek said he was privileged and blessed to step into his father's shoes and fulfil his promise. The highlight of the inauguration was the fact that Madhuri Dixit Nene's sons, Rayaan and Arin Nene took the stage by storm as they did a mesmerizing Tabla act with their guru. Their proud father, Sriram nene was seen in the audience gleaming away and taking images. Another highlight was the fact that Shiamak Davar trained differently abled children for a soul stirring and heart moving performance to a silent version of the National Anthem in sign language and the melody of the movie Black. 70 dancers then came onstage and lit up the entire maidan with kathak, bharat natyam, sufi jazz, contemporary performances all at one time! Also seen were festival director the elegant Brinda Miller and the entertining Manek Davar who are the spearheads behind Kala Ghoda year after year. Celebs spotted were Shreyas Talpade, Arzan Khambatta, Akshara Hassan, Ashley Lobo, Sriram Nene and many more!
