Shamna Kasim is now acting as the female protagonist opposite Arulnidhi. It is after a long interval she got an offer in Tamil Film. This Arulnidhi film Thankararu is directed by Ganesh Vinayan. Arulnidhi is the son of M. K. Tamilarasan, son of M. Karaunanidhi. His three earlier films acted by Arulnidhi has become hit. He is the youngest generation of Karunanidhi family.
Comedian Santhanam is directing a movie. Santhanam who got recognized as a good comedian had recently produced a film ‘Kanna laddu thinna asaya”. He who has got many good roles to credit is now preparing to direct a film. It is reported that discussions are started for the movie.
Aravind swami who did good roles and got famous through Mani Ratnam movies in Tamil were missing from lime light. After 13 years of gap he came back to screen recently. Thiruvanathapuram: The remand for Salu Menon who is in custody in relation to Solar Scam has been extended till 1st August by the 1st Class Judicial Magistrate Court. She was sent in custody for interrogation.
Salu has agreed to the police that she received 70 lakhs of rupees from Biju Radhakrishnan. She got arrested by Perumbavoor police in the case for frauding Saajad for Rs. 40 lakhs.
Kochi: Secret statements are taken from Saritha S Nair the accused in Solar Scam. This was recorded before the court of Ernakulam Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate. Saritha’s advocate was also present. I Advocate Fenni Balakrishnan said Saritha has made some critical disclosures before the court and there is strict order from the court not to disclose it to the public. Saritha made the statements voluntarily. And it was relating to the case too. The case may change its direction. The court gave instruction to write down what has been said and to give the written request for getting the copy of the statements; added Adv. Fenni Balakrishnan.
Thiruvananthapuram: Biju Radhakrishnan the accused in Solar Scam says he gave 10 lakhs to Super Star Mammootty Rs. 50,000/- by cheque and the balance without any records. This was for attending the inaugural function of Team Solar. These are disclosed by Biju on interrogation by police on the case registered at Perumbavoor Police station against Biju and Saritha.
In 2011 Team Solar has given an award to Mammootty. In a function arranged in a star hotel in Kochi on 11th June 2011 the award has been given by Minister K.P Mohanan. The public appeal gained by honoring the super star also has been utilised by them for the fraud. Kaviyoour Ponnamma, Sarayu and Vineeth were the other celebrities attended that function.
The investigation team who recorded the statements have started the enquiry. Later it will be decided whether to question Mammootty on this or not.
